2021 As the Year of Celebration concludes, I look back on the various celebrations, parties, retirements, weddings, vacations, and get togethers, with a sense of happiness that we were able to do those things, together, once again after the prior year of isolation. As we continue to find ourselves within the unknown, it seems difficult to see how much those moments meant and how truly important they really were. The last two years have been extremely exhausting, turbulent, and confusing, but we were able to put that aside for many positive moments over the past year that we celebrated together, during our Year of Celebration. I am grateful to be a part of a family this strong and this dedicated to love and support.

Something I have also embraced over the last year was celebrating the smaller things. Those small wins that you may or may not share with everyone or anyone, celebrate them. Those times where everything just feels right, celebrate. Even those times where something doesn’t work out, celebrate the fact that you put yourself out there, in a position to succeed and took a risk and ultimately if it didn’t work out, it wasn’t meant to be. No matter what happens or what we are celebrating, we have each other and no matter how big or how small the accomplishment or event, we will celebrate it together, and I love that about our family.

This could be taken many different ways. My focus this year is to explore what I don’t know, what I don’t understand, or what I’d like to learn more about. Go places I have never gone, see things I have never seen, and think in ways I have never thought. To explore is to learn and to gain insight and knowledge about something you didn’t already know. This can be done both physically and mentally. I am eager to explore who I am, push myself to see what I am capable of, and become comfortable with the uncomfortable and the unknown. I would like to explore and discover new things and be open to new ideas and doing things differently than I have in the past. I will challenge myself to explore my weaknesses and become a better person. I am also excited to explore my career and the professional direction I am headed in, short term and long term. I will explore the possibilities and options, so I am prepared regardless of when it happens. What would you like to explore? I hope you all have a very Happy New Year. I love you all very much and I can’t wait to take on a new year with new goals and new aspirations! 2022 ~ Here we come.
